I just discovered your website today and I love the information on here. I am currently trying to break back into the marketing\public relations field, and with today's economy it has not been easy. About a year ago I was given the suggestion of writing a book, and I am very excited to be nearing completion. Reading this article from an insider gives me a lot of hope that the book will give me the credibility I am looking for, and hopefully an edge during my next interview. I look forward to reading more of your articles.

I wrote my memoir a few years ago. When a writing consultant advised me that a "how to" book was better to help market myself, I got stuck making the shift. Your questions would have been helpful to think about to get me started. After trying unsuccessfully to squeeze writing into my schedule during the day, I have made a commitment for 2010 to finally get it done. I get up at 6:30 every morning to write--no TV, no email--just write. I have a friend who is also a writer and decided that when we get up, we send each other a quick email. Although she's about 900 miles away, it helps get me out of my warm bed, knowing she's waiting to hear from me! It's helped keep both of us be accountable. I enjoy your messages!

Your writing here is excellent. I’ve thought of writing a book from time to time, but I haven’t focused on what to write about yet. Your comments reminded me that I need to get with it.
